Privacy policy

Start-Up Library (“we”, “the service”) is a small set of online tools for founders. This policy explains what we collect, where it's stored, and how you can delete it. We've tried to keep it short and honest.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and a hashed password (or an OAuth identifier, if you sign in via a third party in future).
• Canvas content: anything you save inside the Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, or Startup Growth Calculator tools. This is yours and is shown only to you.
• Usage metadata: timestamps of when canvases were created, updated, or deleted. Used to enforce the free-plan quota and to show recent activity on your dashboard.
• Session cookies: a single first-party cookie set by Supabase Auth so we can keep you signed in. No analytics or advertising cookies.

What we don't collect

• No marketing trackers, ad pixels, or third-party analytics SDKs.
• No payment information at this stage (the service is free).
• No location, device fingerprint, or behavioural profile.

Where your data lives

Authentication and storage are handled by Supabase (supabase.com), which runs on Amazon Web Services. Data is stored at rest with standard encryption. We do not share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, canvases, and save history — usually immediately. Backup snapshots may retain the data for up to 30 days before they roll off.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion at any time by emailing martyoneill98@gmail.com. We'll confirm and delete within 7 days. In the meantime you can also delete individual canvases from your dashboard.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has signed up, let us know and we'll remove the account.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced by email.
